Netflix’s Sabrina Adds Richard Coyle In Recurring Role

Madam Satan (Michelle Gomez) won’t be the only antagonist that Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) will have to deal with in Season 1! Deadline reports that Richard Coyle (Ink, The Collection) has been cast in the recurring role of Father Blackwood, who is described as follows:

“Father Blackwood, is High Priest of the Church of Night and Dean of the Academy of the Unseen Arts. Ruthless and ambitious, Blackwood hides a terrifying dark agenda that will put him in direct conflict with Sabrina (Shipka) and other members of the coven.”

Filming will be kicking off sometime next month in Vancouver, Canada. One of the last main roles to be cast for the upcoming Sabrina reboot is Harvey Kinkle who we will most likely get news on very soon.

“UNTITLED SABRINA SERIES imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”

Netflix’s untitled Sabrina series, starring Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardell/Madam Satan, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, and Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman, is set to premiere sometime in 2018.
