As we get closer to production kicking off for Netflix’s untitled Sabrina the Teenage Witch show, we finally have our Harvey Kinkle! Deadline reports that Ross Lynch has landed the role of Sabrina Spellman’s (Kiernan Shipka) love-interest who will be quite different from the sitcom version.
“Harvey Kinkle, Sabrina’s boyfriend. The prince charming of this dark fairy tale, Harvey is the son of a coal miner, a dreamboat and a dreamer, completely unaware of the dark forces conspiring to keep him and Sabrina apart.”
The two seasons will be filming back to back this year, with Season 1 rolling the cameras in Vancouver, Canada. Despite filming in the same city as its fellow Archie Comics show Riverdale, there are no planned crossovers between Riverdale and Sabrina as of right now.
“UNTITLED SABRINA SERIES imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”
Netflix’s untitled Sabrina series, starring Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardell/Madam Satan, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman, and ACTOR as Harvey Kinkle, is set to premiere sometime in 2018.
