As we learned this week that the Sabrina reboot will indeed be titled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, just like the comic, we have some casting news. The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Justin Dobies (Dear White People) is set to recur on the Archie Comics drama as the older brother to Ross Lynch’s Harvey Kinkle.
“Nurturing and protective of his little brother while working in the Greendale mines, a job he hates, so that Harvey can stay in school and hopefully get out of their backwards town.”
As far as we know, Harvey never had siblings in the comics nor in the sitcom version, so this is an interesting change. As Season 1 continues to film, hopefully we’ll have some footage soon of the new highly anticipated Sabrina reboot!
“CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”
Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, starring Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardell/Madam Satan, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman, and Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle, is set to premiere sometime in 2018.
